Earth Prison Panopticon
Translation by EJ
Observed within the all-seeing prison Panopticon
We in the prison of Earth are lonely inmates
It has already become like a machine
Held together by screws and joints
With pipes, tubes, and hoses running through it
Observed within the all-seeing prison Panopticon
We in the prison of Earth are lonely inmates
What we think of there:
Let’s get to know loneliness more deeply
Let’s become lonelier
Let’s contemplate loneliness further
Lonelinessness Lonelinessness
Lonelinessness Lonelinessness
Lonelinessness Lonelinessness
Lonelinessness Lonelinessness
Ahhh
Ahhh
Observed within the all-seeing prison Panopticon
We in the prison of Earth are lonely inmates
What we soon wish for:
To fly through the sky,
to be ten thousand leagues under the sea
To invent all the useless machines
To become people without memories
Attacked by a super time attack
Attacked by a super hypocrisy attack
Attacked by a super greed attack
Attacked by a super cruelty attack
Attacked by a super uncertainty attack
Attacked by a super plague attack
Attacked by a super nature attack
Attacked by a super bacteria attack
Attacked by a (super) presence/absence attack
Earth Prison Panopticon
Translation by Katie
Monitored by the Panopticon (full-view surveillance prison),
We become solitary prisoners of the world-prison
That is already the same as a machine
Connecting like screws and hinges
Transmitting: pipe, tube, hose
Monitored by the Panopticon (full-view surveillance prison),
We become solitary prisoners of the world-prison
There we contemplate:
Let’s know even further isolation.
Let’s enter even further isolaton.
Let’s anticipate even further isolation.
Isolation-lation, isolation-lation
Isolation-lation, isolation-lation
Isolation-lation, isolation-lation
Isolation-lation, isolation-lation
Aaah
Aaah
Monitored by the Panopticon (full-view surveillance prison),
We become solitary prisoners of the world-prison
At the end, I wish to
Fly through the air,
go ten thousand miles in the deep sea,
Invent all forbidden machines
Become lost from public memory

Translation Notes From EJ:

Observed within the all-seeing prison Panopticon
The Panopticon is a hypothetical prison designed by philosopher Jeremy Bentham in the late 1700s with the intention of creating a building where a single guard could observe every inmate, wherever they might be, from a central location in which none of the inmates could see him. (Thus, while it would obviously not be possible for the guard to watch every single inmate at the same time, the prisoners would never know whether or not they were being observed and would theoretically be on their best behavior at all times.) While no true Panopticon has ever been constructed (though there have been a small handful of buildings that have claimed to be based on the principle), the concept has been popular in the arts over the centuries for its metaphorical value.

Translation Notes From Katie:

Become lost from public memory
Kiroku, record, is written with the kanji for kioku (記憶), memory, in this case.

Giovanna's Note: Katie's romanization of 記憶 to kiroku and EJ's romanization of it to kioku are based on disagreements to what is being heard in the audio. The alternate Katie uses is included in the romanization largely belonging to EJ.
