Show off your desktop! (POSSIBLE DIAL-UP WARNING?)
Well, we've had threads showing off our rooms/living spaces, and threads detailing what ringtones we use... but it seems we haven't had a thread in which we show off our PC/Mac desktops... until now.
For starters, I'll post one I had before I had to reformat Aura(my PC)the last time(a few weeks ago). I need to add this one back to the wallpaper folder(actually, that might be from R.Dorothy, my old machine, but I'm not sure):
HAPPYCAT FTW.
And just to keep this particular post on-topic for the forum, an oldie but a goodie:

I love the Kill Chuchu one. Nanami's dueling outfit is so fitting. 
I customized a faerie image by Brian Froud for mine. 
It's about the only interest of mine that I think would be society-friendly enough in case other people saw. Most people don't know of anime here..

Here's my current desktop, the mysterious Ran from Texhnolyze (which I am currently watching for the first time, so if you've also seen it, please DO NOT SPOIL it for me! ). Yoshitoshi ABe is my master.
And yes, I'm in the states and my weather thingy is in Celsius. It's the rest of the country that hasn't converted. 
Note the names of my hard drives....

Hee hee... actually, Nemuro is the music dump. Ohtori is where everything else lives. And somewhat appropriately, Nemuro is a firewire drive.

The wallpaper came from one of my favorite wallpaper sites, http://www.clearlypixelated.com/da/ (plug, plug, this lady does good work). And my hard drives aren't named anything exciting but I named my tiny bright pink Mp3 player "Tenjou"
That fairy wallpaper is awesome, by the way...

Me too...omg it just has that level of OMG!DRAMA in it that I like. You can see their desperation...and it is my most favorite scene out of the ENTIRE series.

Finally!
All right, this is my work desktop. It goes really well with my winamp skin at work, which is something like 'Halloween 2003' in Ember. It's pretty kickass, but no pics, sorry. Also, work stuff pixellated because... well, just because. Showing it would be irresponsible.
And this is my home desktop. It also goes really well with the winamp skin that Gio designed for me. I would have released this vector, but it's not done yet and I haven't had time to work on it.
I love my wallpapers.

According to the website I linked, it's by the artist Wei Liu but not from a series.
That picture of Utena and Anthy reaching for each other is beautiful, but if I had it for a wallpaper, I think it would make me teary *sniffle*
And the orange eye > everything. So. Shiny.

Duelling Arena = Where I keep my games.
Juri's Locket = Pictures, videos and music.
Sunlit Garden = Programs such as Word, Media Player, Adobe Photoshop and so on.
Nanami's Diary = Fanfiction, walkthroughs and essays.

It’s nothing as fancy as that, I just used normal 32x32 Icon buttons, which I designed to be mostly invisible and positioned them at the right part of the screen and locked them in after I enlarged them to 64x64 using Appearances in Desktop properties.
