It makes sense for Akoya to have such an awful sense of fashion. He is so beautiful that he does not need nice clothes, his natural beauty shines even brighter by contrast.

So this rule doesn't really apply to SKU men. Or maybe this means the boy and Saionji aren't handsome, so they use water to distinguish those ugly ones. Makes me think about the witchcraft trials.

I suspect Utena would drive Akoya absolutely insane. He'd see her a boorish female (I expect him to even use that expression) and either foam at the mouth at the unrefined way she presents herself or decide to turn her into a proper lady which would probably be absolutely hilarious.
