This got talked about way back in this thread at the very least, but it was using the old screencaps from the old gallery, and the screenshots no longer show up. So a new thread is clearly warranted!

That shot of Touga is definitely up there in terms of weird animation mishaps.  They even riff off of it in the old parody fandub of that episode that I'm fond of.

Anyway, I'll contribute:

And yeah, that first picture of Touga is scary.

Nobody did this yet? Really, I'm surprised we don't use a macro like this constantly.

I remember in one scene in the curry episode where Miki gets a really weird eyes in the animation

Then again, most of the curry ep was drawn.... not so well ;

I submit to you that there is no worse part of the animation than this one. Every time I look at it I find something new that's wrong with it.  When I look at Miki's face I feel like I'm staring into the abyss. His eyes are eating my soul. And Touga is just striking a pose in the background with his mouth open like a fish. He looks like he is utterly shocked that you would wear those shoes with that dress, girlfriend. Puh-lease.

When it comes to bad animation, I think everyone thinks of episode 8 first and foremost.

... Did I just stumble into a different anime? The animation style looked completely different in this one, short scene.

I like this one, actually. It's obvious they weren't hurrying to get this cel done. The shadow on Touga's face is similar to the "blackface" seen in anime when a character is depressed, but instead of going solid black they drew those dirty-looking lines to emphasize how Touga's sense of dignity has been sullied. Like he badly scuffed his fancy new shoes. And then a girl laughed at his dick.
