This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

Oh yes, my God this is beatiful. Mappa is nit the first studio I would have ikuni with but they do get great talent on their stuff. Thier production values are uselly impressive and that would let ikuni make some beast stuff.
Also, anyone planing to work with him?

Oh, this is neat! I'm looking at the requirements now, and seems like it's focused on folks who obviously can go to work in Japan, but there is a way to email inquiries. If there was a way for me to try out for this, oh, I would.
Also you might have to have a car license as well.

Wow! It's nice that he's working on things a bit more regularly these days. I wonder when more information will come out about this.

That sure is '10s Ikuhara all right
What I'm most interested in finding out about this show is the writer. Penguindrum and Yuri Kuma Arashi were both co-written by Takayo Ikami. I liked them, but I kind of want to see Ikuhara work with a different writer so it's not the same one three times in a row. Most people on here agree that it wasn't just Ikuhara, but him working with Yoji Enokido, that made Utena so good. While I'm assuming getting Enokido back for this is very unlikely, it would be very interesting to see Ikuhara work with at least any third writer so we can more clearly analyze who contributed what ideas to Ikuhara's works.

I'm tentatively excited. I loved Utena and Penguindrum... but Yuri Kuma Arashi was only okay to me. Definitely not something I'd rewatch though. We'll see how this one goes.

Character designs have been posted for ... characters who star in a spin-off yaoi manga? (check em at sarazanmai.com.)
They're two male policemen detectives or something. Pastel illustration is good.
Knowing Ikuhara, and ESPECIALLY after YKA, everyone's wondering in what ways this is meant to mislead us. This is the first exposure to the characters we get, but it's for a spin-off, before we actually know the premise of the show. So... is this really a more male-focused work than his previous shows? Or is that a misdirection?

These guys are probably minor characters in the anime, lol. Calling it now!
