Darkling - The SKU OVA
It was really pretty strange.
See, this friend of mine, who doesn't even watch Utena had found
a Shoujo Kakumei Utena OAV. Or is it OVA? Eh, it doesn't really
impact the dream, so it doesn't matter. Anyway, she had downloaded
an episode from the internet, and we were watching it on her computer.
All of the seitokai were sitting around this table. Juri was standing
in front of them. Akio was sitting on this big lit-up throne. Anthy
was sitting in front of the throne (it was Movie Anthy, though...
and she had that little red dress from episode 38 on). Juri was
explaining to them how she had found an entrance into the Summer
Country. You know, the Summer Country? I think it's the sort of
fairy-land place from British mythology. Anyway, Juri had found
a way into it, and she wanted all of those present to come. Let
it be noted that Utena wasn't there... Not that it's important,
but it was just sort of weird. Anthy and Juri started having an
in depth talk about the economy of the Summer Country, but in the
middle of all of this, Akio bursts into tears... He was sorry for
all of the shit that he had done to everyone and wanted to apologize
(0_o;;; Yeah, whatever...).
Anyway, they were getting ready to go to the Summer
Country, via these really plush, comfy looking chairs. Like upscale
Lazy boys... Anyway, they had started to blast off (literally),
when suddenly all the secondary characters appear. This was probably
the weirdest part, because they all had these really trippy costumes
on, and all this face paint. Like in Circue du soleil (-.-;; I don't
know how to spell that... I hope you know what I mean). I remember
in particular that Nanami had on makeup like a tiger... come to
think of it, I'm not sure why Nanami wasn't with the rest of the
Seitokai. Anyway, the secondary characters started attacking the
members of the seitokai who they are affiliated with (i.e Nanami-
Touga, Juri-Shiori... Kanae-Akio). They somehow managed to beat
them off, and then they flew out of the window.
That's when the friend and I stopped watching
the OAV... No more SKU after that, unfortunantly.
This dream was especially weird in that it made
_sense_. My dreams usually _don't_. Which is pretty paradoxical,
when you think about it. A dream about SKU that made sense... My,
my...
